You will be picked up from your hotel between 07.30 - 08.00am and drive for 90 minutes (60km) to the Cu Chi Tunnels, where you will spend the next couple of hours exploring the area and learning more the tunnels and their use during the Vietnam War. The more adventurous of you will have the opportunity to crawl through the tunnels and to fire off some rounds from Ak47 or M16 assault rifles at the shooting range before driving back to Ho Chi Minh City for a lunch at Pho24
Start the tour by cruising through the downtown area and take some memorable pictures with the Opera house and Ho Chi Minh City Hall on Nguyen Hue walking boulevard. Visit Notre Dame Cathedral and Saigon Post Office, two of the best highlights of old Saigon architecture. Walk to the nearby Reunification Palace, witness of the historic events of old Saigon and famous for its architectural characteristics. Discover the very popular War Remnants Museum, the one that gathers a comprehensive collection of the machinery, weapons, photographs and documentation of the Vietnam wars. Stop by the Jade Emperor Pagoda, also known as Tortoise pagoda, one of the most spectacularly colorful temples, dedicated to King of Heaven and filled with exquisite and phantasmal statues. The tour ended with a local market to explore the local products and you will then be transferred back to your hotel.
After being picked up from your hotel between 7:30-8.00 am, depart from Ho Chi Minh City and head into the Mekong Delta, crossing the impressive Rach Mieu Cable-stayed Bridge. Arrive in Ben Tre village after an around 2-hour drive and board a small boat to cruise around the delta, visiting traditional villages and artisan workshops. Stop along the way to visit a small brick factory, a coconut-processing workshop, a local mat-weaving house, and take a xe-lôi (a kind of motorized rickshaw) ride around a local village. Enjoy a delicious lunch at a riverside restaurant, before starting the afternoon activities which include a scenic bike ride and a sampan cruise along the canals.
