The journey begins with a transfer to Hoa Binh and a bike ride to Mai Chau, passing ethnic villages and tea and coffee plantations. Mai Chau, home to the Thai people and their stilt houses, is where we stay overnight. On Day 2, we cycle over 40km from Lac to Van village, through scenic countryside and ethnic hamlets. Van remains untouched by tourism. On the final day, we ride and trek through the misty morning landscapes before returning to Hanoi.

We transfer to Hoa Binh Province, and cycle to Mai Chau. The drive itself is a cultural lesson with the slow ascent onto the plateau passing various ethnic minority villages. The cycle takes us along tea and coffee plantations before arriving in the sparsely-populated district of Mai Chau. It is home to the Thai ethnic minority hill tribe and their distinctive stilt houses, and is also where we'll spend the night. Overnight in Mai Chau.
We leave Lac village and cycle through some beautiful countryside en route to the village of Van. Along the way we pass through several Thai and Muong hamlets. In the afternoon, we cycle along the valley floor and are constantly surrounded by stunning scenery, arriving at Van village by late afternoon. Here there is time to explore this charming little village before dinner. The village is also home to the White Thai people, but unlike Lac it has remained completely unchanged by the advent of tourism. Overnight in Mai Chau.
After breakfast, ride to visit the morning foggy scenery of the beautiful west region of VietNam, and some trekking along the trails. Have a picnic lunch. Checking out and leaving for Ha Noi. End of services.
