Morning Arrive at the bustling Bac Ha Market, one of the most famous ethnic markets in Northern Vietnam, and witness the vibrant trading culture between different minority groups. The market is a colorful spectacle with people wearing traditional costumes. Explore the market and experience its primitive characteristics. You can shop for unique souvenirs and gifts, such as hand-embroidered textiles, or try some local snacks and delicacies, such as grilled meat skewers or sticky rice cakes. After the tour, enjoy a delicious lunch at a local restaurant.
Afternoon Visit the Palace of Hoang A Tuong, an awe-inspiring architectural building with a curious mixture of baroque and oriental design. Reach Ban Phung Village and meet the La Chi ethnic people. Admire their traditional costume with black knee-length skirts and jackets, with a little delicate colored embroidery. Descend to Hoang Su Phi for dinner and spend the night at your homestay. NOTE: Bac Ha market is open every Sunday. However, if it is not open, we will take you to other vibrant ethnic markets here.

Morning Start our day with a scenic drive through Cong Troi Pass and Yen Minh to reach Dong Van: Visit King's Palace in Sa Phin Village. The palace was constructed in the 20th century and belongs to the leader of the H'Mong ethnic community there. You'll have the chance to hear fascinating stories about the life of this leader's family and observe its unique architectural style. Explore the Karst Plateau Geopark in Dong Van, which is a fascinating area featuring vast areas of limestone, spectacular mountain scenery, and the richness of ethnic minorities’ culture. For lunch, we will stop at one of the ancient houses around the old market area. After lunch, you will have free time to wander around the old market area and enjoy its vibrant atmosphere.
Afternoon Get ready for a trek through Ma Pi Leng Pass, one of the most beautiful roads in Vietnam, with stunning views from the river valley. This is a great chance to take some amazing photos and immerse yourself in the natural beauty of the region. Finally, we will reach Meo Vac, where we will spend the night. You can relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings or explore the town on your own.
Explore Meo Vac, a small town where many ethnic groups like Tay, Dao, H'mong, and Lo Lo live and work. If you get there on Sunday morning, you can visit the local market where local people sell handmade clothes and make indigo-dyed jackets on old sewing machines in colorful ethnic customs. Have lunch at a restaurant in Bao Lac.
Afternoon Visit the Nung ethnic people in Pac Rang to see how they make farm tools and blacksmiths. Have dinner and stay a night at a local Nung ethnic house. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner Accommodation: Homestay in Pac Rang
Morning/ Afternoon Have a full breakfast, then your private driver will take you to Cao Bang for our hill tribes adventure: Explore Ban Gioc Waterfall, one of the most majestic and beautiful places in the Northern mountainous area. Take a leisure stroll, do sightseeing and take beautiful photos of the stunning waterfall. If you are lucky to visit Ban Gioc Waterfall between September to December, this is the best time to admire its majestic beauty. Head to Nguom Ngao “Tiger Cave”, a sight to behold and remember with amazing rock formations and stalactites of various shapes.
Stop by a local restaurant for lunch by noon. After taking a short break, drive to the serene wilderness of Ba Be National Park. Immerse yourself in the tranquil beauty of nature, and marvel at the diverse flora and fauna of this unspoiled ecosystem. Have dinner and overnight at a local homestay.
Recharge your energy with a delicious breakfast. Trek through the stunning rice fields and make your way to the Bo Lu boat station. Once there, hop aboard for a 3-hour boat tour on the crystal-clear waters of Ba Be Lake. Take in the breathtaking scenery and feel the refreshing breeze.
