Itinerary

Lao cai - Sapa - Than Thuoc

Once you arrive at Lao Cai Railway station, you will be greeted and picked up there by a local guide and a driver. Then, you will be transferred to the starting point of the tour which is the stunning Silver Waterfall. Once you arrive there, you will take the 3-km climb up to the highest mountain pass in Indochina. Reaching at the top of the mountain pass, you will have the chance to enjoy and marvel at the fantastic view of Hoang Lien Mountain. Don’t forget to keep your camera handy to capture these spectacular images of nature

After that, you will be equipped with a quality mountain bike to experience a biking journey of 20km to Than Thuoc which is a charming small tea town. You will challenge yourself with some rocky parts of the road. After exploring the town, you will spend a night in a local guest house.

Than Thuoc - Than Uyen

After having a big breakfast and charging enough energy for the coming adventure of the day, firstly, you will be driven up a steep mountain pass to the starting point of your biking tour. Upon your arrival there, you will start cycling downhill of 20km to reach Than Uyen village. You will pass through valleys and see the growth forest, tea plantations and green rice fields surrounding you. You can enjoy not only these peaceful landscapes but also the cool fresh air of the mountainous area. You will stop and have lunch in Than Uyen. After a short rest, you will have the chance to experience a wonderful afternoon by cycling to some villages of local ethnic minority groups, including the interesting Lu people with their distinctively black teeth. You will follow some single track trails to get there. After exploring all those villages, you will head back to Than Uyen. There, you will have dinner and stay for an overnight in a local guest house.

Than Uyen - Lao Cai

From the guest house in Than Uyen, you will ride about 40km to discover the other side of the spectacular Muong Kim valley. During the journey, you will stop at many beautiful villages of hill tribe communities to observe, explore and learn more about the traditions and daily activities. In addition, you will marvel at stunning sceneries there. Don’t forget to bring along your camera to take photos of them. Once you arrive at Van Ban, you will enjoy lunch and a short rest in a local restaurant. After lunchtime, you will get on a minivan waiting for you at Van Ban to transfer back to Lao Cai.
